Recipe Testers of the World

You guys saved me half a year ago when I was getting crazy trying to reach the first deadline of a part of my book. I needed recipe testers and you helped me out. I could not have done it on time if it was not for you. It all became a pretty funny action. One woman, from Australia, ended … Read More

Wine harvest – Behind the Scenes

On instagram and blogs things tend to look perfect. The plates are  filled. Tables are  surrounded with friends. Strawberries are incredibly red. And kids smile or make funny faces.  And the sun is shining. When we did the Friends of Truth wine harvest in Baden the sun was shining about 1,2 hours. Not much. During this short time we faught … Read More

Bread Exchange at Friends of Truth Wine Harvest

Last weekend we drove south-east. Katharina from Friends of Truth wine were harvesting her grapes at Zähringer Vineyard close to Freiburg. Wine harvesting is (or is supposed to be) hard work and you need to eat well so Katharina asked me if I wanted to come down and bake bread as an in between snack. Of course I did. I called … Read More

Fingers crossed for Translations

For me, not coming from the Book publishing business this whole schedule thing is a bit weird. I am used to super short lead times and sharp deadlines from the Fashion Industry. In the Book business however, everything takes longer than you think. So, my book was only presented by my US Publisher, Chronicle Books, in Frankfurt to then sell it … Read More

the Bread Exchange @FBM13

First snaps has been arriving from the Chronicle books booth (Hall 8.0 M99) at the Frankfurt Book fair. I almost fell off my chair when I saw how large it was. The best part is probably that it is “The Bread Exchange” together with “Game of Thrones” next year. Oh Yes!

Frankfurt Book Fair

I have been told there is an image presenting my book (which is to be published in the US  next year) and I would lie if I did not say that I am about to explode out of curiosity and excitement. Anyone close to Chronicle Books booth in Hall 8 M99 and mind taking a picture of the stand for … Read More

I like Poland. And Polish people must like Bread.

The other week there was a story about the Bread Exchange in the weekend issue Wysokie Obcasy (high heels) of the main daily Polish Newspaper . If you can read polish, you will find the article here —> Wysokie Obcasy. It is a second very good Polish publication about the project which surprised me (see SMAK here). Bread must really be playing an … Read More

Thank You. Friends of Truth.

Today a surprise arrived on my door step, send to me by the Friends of truth. It was a reminder of that the summer is soon to come. Wahrheit. Tomorrow is the first of May. When I lived in Sweden I always took my first ocean swim on this date. It was never a pleasant experience. And no, we never went … Read More

Hindukush 2

This was it. It went too fast. As always. But I guess how it would always be. If there would have been more time, the urge to fill it with things would be the same. So I should be satisfied. Thank You to everyone that pulled strings for connecting me with good people and doing an effort to make this … Read More
