LIZA HINMAN, SANTA ROSA

When I was in NYC to shoot for the German Travel guidebook from Smart Travelling I was introduced to Eric Anderson, who is one of the co-founders of Prune (I can highly recommend it!). When my colleague Nancy Bachmann was done with her interview I used the situation and asked Eric about Bread. Eric comes from Sonoma County, an area north of San Francisco, which is known for celebrating food and Wine. Eric did not only suggest me to visit his other restaurant, Spinsters Sister, but he also gave me and the graphic designer Katrin Weber a place to stay during our trading road trip through California as we were making the book.

Sonoma County went straight into our hearts. And so did the restaurant Spinsters Sister in Santa Rosa. Erics co-owners, Liza Hinman, agreed to share her Kale salad for my book. It works perfectly with my apricot and bier bread!
