Reiten auf Sächsich

What do you to stay on the ground in stressful periods? For myself, I like to build in breaks that forces me to dust off everything that is pulling down my shoulders.

Never compromise on this.

I love breaks that are a clear contrasts to my normal life. The best break I did in 2011 so far was visiting Hartenstein in Saxony. And the highlight of it all was the early morning riding lesson by Dana Dinter in Zschocken, close to Zwickau. She took time for me even though I called with very short notice. Her horses are down to earth “Schweres Warmblut”. Just be aware that the regional dialect is quite, how should I describe it, special. Combine that with the fact that I had to learn all the riding terms in German for the first time. I now speak saxonian (typo) dialect to all horses.

Dana has a Reithof together with her husband. You can come and take lessons or go with them riding in the countryside. Since I had to be in München the same afternoon I was only able to take a short trip over the fields after my lesson.

Now I am off to München and 2 weeks of Fashion. But no problem, I have my feet on the ground now.

The picture above from Dana is of course of a Pony and not a Warmblut…

And Thanks to the Girl that gave me the lesson !! I am afraid I forgot your name :(
