I will be driving between Brussels and Munchen and I will stay overnight somewhere on the road. Where would you go?
I have no problem with minor de-tours, I just want to see something. Pretty, old, special. Local food places? Bed and Breakfasts? Just stunning sceneries? Castles? I would be so thankful for your help!
Cities I will be driving by are: Bonn, Koblenz, Mannheim, Stuttgart. Like I said, de-tours are my main road. Personally I have more experience with cities like Maastricht -also on the way, and just stunning! But hey, now I want Germany!

If you haven’t already been, you should definitely go to Heidelberg (close to Mannheim). You can wander the ruins of the gothic castle on the hillside, which are really massive and gorgeous. The view, the old town, and the bridges on the Neckar River are quite pretty as well. Bon voyage!

I think I might stay the night somewhere between Aachen and Wiesbaden, does anyone know a sweet place in this area?
Unfortunately I only stayed in a boring hotel in Frankfurt, so I can’t recommend a place to you :( But I’ll ask around for places to stay or visit on your drive, and pass on the tips if I find anything good!
