Blame it on my mother who danced folk dance when she was pregnant and loved to play violin music for me when I was laying in her stomach. When I was 5 years old she took me to music school to let me choose an instrument to play. I showed no interest or patients. But when the Violin started to play I leaned forward and sat completely still. I stopped playing the violin years ago, but I love when she tells me that story.
I admit it, I am crazy for this kind of music: Once There Was a Hushpuppy from the movie Beast of the Southern Wild.
These strings makes me smile and this beat makes my stomach bubble. Add on a deep baseline and you got me.
If you can’t stand folk, or are allergic to film music, you will probably not like it.
