Post cards from Mali

I thought I share with you some pictures I received from Mali the other day. All taken by Matthias Gebauer. One needs to keep things real.

I asked him for images from the daily life. But in reality, Mali is not where you would like to be right now.

You find Matthias articles from the crisis in the region on Spiegel Online.

For English, you can also hear his latest report on BBC.

Fabulous. I was wondering why he was in Mali. Let’s trade buckwheat granola. Safe travels and reporting to Matthias.

Let’s put it that way. I think he should get out of there right now.

Would love to trade granola. Need to do a new batch! What is in yours? And do you like the taste of Tonka?

    Hi Malin,

I was just reading about Tonka Beans for the first time, and heard that they’re actually illegal in my home country, the USA! (Although lots of chefs still sneak them in.) Where can I get the in Berlin?

    Thanks,
    Giulia

    Hi Guila,
I have a whole bunch here that I got in Switzerland recently. Do you want one or 2? You do not use very much for a cake/granola.
Tonka beans used to be illegal in Germany too. Luckily that changed :)
