Work hard but make no compromises on your Well-being Ladies

The last 2 days has been pretty crazy. I have been driving a circle around Germany. If I think about it I wonder how it is doable sometimes. But it does not feel that hard if you do it the right way for you.

On Thursday I started with an early morning meeting in Ddorf. Then off to Köln for store scouting. I made sure to take a 1 hours urgency Massage (1) to keep on going. The same night I was invited to a dinner in Antwerp (2). I would never miss Antwerp for the world.  I wish I could have stayed at Boulevard Leopold but since I had a meeting in Wiesbaden on Friday I figured it was better to leave Belgium the same night and sleep somewhere in between. I picked Aachen, on the boarder to Benelux.
Sweet little town by the way.

Dinner in Antwerp was well worth it. Excellent company that took me down to earth. Very important to do non-fashion things when you are in this business. (Let’s keep it a parentheses that the dinner event was held in my favorite fashion store RA).
Thursday: 2 points.

Friday morning I enjoyed an cute Breakfast at Mrs Brulls hotel (1) and then off to meeting in Wiesbaden. The 3 hours meeting in Frankfurt and by 5pm off to the south.

On my way down to Heidelberg I was passing by Bürstadt (2) and the Best Delicacy butcher. My friend Steff had already told her mother that I was coming and she prepared me some food for long night drive. Fleisch und Wurst salat. Home made sausage. Some good Swiss cheese. And, as a little dessert, her home made strawberry Quark. Heaven.
I drove off to a late meeting outside Heidelberg. Not really how I normally spend my friday evening but it is end of sales season and since I am the competitive kind of person I am giving all I got (almost).  After the meeting I did not dare to drive up to Berlin alone in the night (630km) so at 2am I checked in at the  castle in Saxony (3).
Friday: 3 points

Saturday morning the castle had a horse waiting for me (1). After that ride I had already forgotten about the stress of the week before.

My second trick to forget about hard travels is to have as much to do as possible when I arrive. If possible sport and wellness. When I arrived in Berlin 3 hours later I had already booked my program: Running (2), Massage (3) and then Mani/Pedi (4) over a glas Wine with Fee (5) at Soho house (+ a Coffee and Crumble cake in the Charlottenburg Sun with Rahel (6) and Jacob before driving home).

I have almost forgot that I had been away.
