Ode to the good people 3

Sundays and Thursdays are market days at Bastille, Paris. It is my favorite food market. I got my hands on some great goat Tomme and fresh walnuts. I also make sure to try something new every time. For me, fresh dates was the new shit. I never had them raw before and I know some of the bloggers out there are dissing them completely but I love the structure and the less sweet taste. I also got my hands on some candied kumquat that I will use for making Christmas candy next month. I bought the whole stock of 1,5 kg. I have never seen them in Berlin and I am sure my friends will love them.

Clayton and I handpicked what we wanted for Breakfast and sat down next to the market. I can not think of many situations that I like more then taking time for such things.

Clayton is such a warm person. I just love being around him. And I think most people would. He is the designer at Complex Geometry.

Then I had a good lunch with my friend Take, another one of the goldies the the industry. He is a mix of everything. Japanese but more European in his way of being. Polite, but surprisingly spontaneous. It is always great to spend time with him and he shares my excitement for food. And my love for stories and history. So inspiring.

Take is working as fashion director for Monocle magazine. Check out his Report about the cph fashionbusiness from August.
