I agree with you Federica, MY kind of perfect Bread is good on its own.
Regarding the Italian Bread. As Deutsche Welle is a German program about the connection between the interviewed person and the German culture was the focus set on this. The kind of bread I was lacking in Berlin was not the italian white kind of Bread, rather a kind of bread I had not found anywhere before. Maybe that was not made clear enough. What I hope I did make clear was that there are so many different kinds of Good Bread. SOme goes with better with Roquefort, and some is better with mussels. And some is NEEDED for a ragu bolognese (my favorite by the way). The Bread just need to be of High Quality
Many countries has good bread cultures that goes well with dishes from the region.

Ahh,,, the fight of the fashion capitals ;) I personally never worked with Brands that focus on Milan so for me NYC and Paris has always been the most important fashion cities. However, it all depends on what style and brands you are looking at. I do not consider the fashion developed in Paris to be superior, but the list of brands that deicide to show and present there are very very strong. I would say Stronger than any other city in the world.
The, to me :), most important brands still go to Paris. Some also go to NYC or Milan, but most of them always go to Paris. My experience as salesmanager since 6 years is that most influential overseas buyers (Asia, AUstralia and US) when they pick one European fair to go to they go to Paris.

But trends can change, and they always do :) There was a time when I even went to London for the fashionweek.
