Dortmund and Essen have some really nice spots to eat, drink and shop.

@ Eva: Went to München this week but I am sure I will be back in Bavaria in the beginning of next year. Not too much market research in Lindau for the fashionbusiness but I am sure I could add a day extra and go!
@ Pia: Won’t make it to the Rheinland before spring :( But may I get back to you for good tips when I do?
@Tobias: The Kölner Dom is crazy, I agree. Was lucky to get to know one of the guys that restored paintings there in 2001. He gave me a tour then and it was so beautiful.
@Thi-Loan: Was in Düsseldorf last week :( But I will try the bakery in February when I am back!

Thanks for all suggestions! Will be heading to Zürich and Hamburg the upcoming weeks. Would be happy for any local secret knowledge!

if you make it to Düsseldorf, please go to the bakery Hinkel, Bäckerei der Brotfreunde, the name tells it all :) They have the best bread in town and everything they sell is so delicious and have lovely names. Or have you ever eaten something named Nusskuss before?
